THE SPRINGS LEAVENWORTH

Nestled into the Cascade mountains of Leavenworth, The Springs is a community hub of welcoming, accessible hydro-therapy pools, saunas and gathering spaces that aim to promote mountain culture and shared community. Unobstructed views towards the Enchantments and surrounding peaks in the distance provide the backdrop for this restorative experience. The use of natural, local materials are found throughout the site - from relocating boulders that were previously scattered throughout the site, to preservation of the mature evergreen trees, and restoration of native grasses and perennials throughout.

'It is our intent to enthusiastically embrace the Old World Bavarian-Alpine aesthetic tradition, not just by way of overt design elements, but also through the process by which The Springs Leavenworth is built. Our hope is that, through our craftsmanship, build process, and material selections, we will create a unique and authentic experience which is very much of Leavenworth, of the Pacific Northwest, all within the framework of the Old World Bavarian-Alpine design traditions. Think: hand crafted wood elements, carved wooden gutters, traditional stucco (rather than modern spray-on acrylic modified), simple, humble materiality, stone and wood from the site, etc. etc. Through our beam caps, scalloped fascia detailing, fence pickets, and FF&E, we hope to develop a vernacular unique to the site and to the brand (a la Bavarian lattice work of a particular family tradition, etc.), but in keeping with the stylistic constraints of the Old World Bavarian-Alpine style.'  - The Springs Design Philosophy
